Knowledge of a range of special needs would be useful; however, we do provide a comprehensive induction and training programme.

We have a shallow water pool onsite.  MDSAs are expected to support pool-based lessons, this requires water competency and confidence rather than swimming skills.

Whilst experience with pupils with special needs is favoured, recruitment is also based on willingness to learn, and a clear identification with the school’s values.  Our recruitment process involves practical engagement in our classrooms on the interview day.
