curriculum delivered at ASCEND works to specifically develop all three of these
areas. Physical and emotional wellbeing is vital for effective learning to take
place. These two areas form a substantial part of the taught curriculum and
daily activities.
You will need to be able to plan and deliver
engaging lessons based on the National Curriculum differentiated to meet the
needs of our students. The successful
candidate will work with a small group of learners, offering a broad, balanced and
challenging curriculum designed to meet the individual needs of our students.
You will harness the joy of learning and enable our students to make progress
towards academic and EHCP outcomes.
Our teachers have the
support and flexibility to plan and deliver a curriculum for individual and
small group learning, applying their individual specialist interests and
skills. Visits to other educational facilities make up an important part of our
curriculum. These may be to develop awareness, experience something new or
build knowledge and understanding around a relevant topic.
In return for your hard
work, you will receive fantastic support, CPD opportunities through the academy
and wider Ormiston Academy Trust, a wealth of staff benefits, and the priceless
reward of knowing that you are truly making a difference.
Ormiston Park is a growing 11-16 Academy. Our vision of ‘Believe and Achieve’ underpins all aspects of academy life in our impressive, well-resourced, buildings and grounds.
