Corsham Primary School is located in the picturesque Wiltshire market town of Corsham, near Bath, and is arranged over two sites located at either side of the town.  Pound Pill site offers 14 classes and the Broadwood site houses 11 classes, both supporting children from Reception to Year 6.  At Corsham Primary, we believe that all children matter and have the right to the very best, in order to fulfil their potential.  Our happy Corsham Primary family prides itself on having high expectations for learning and behaviour, enabling everyone to enjoy learning and succeed. Our school values of ‘Caring, Positive and Stimulating’, underpin our ethos, alongside a broad and balanced enquiry-led curriculum which challenges children to be curious.   Corsham Primary was one of the original founding schools to create Pickwick Multi Academy Trust in August 2017 and strongly believes in a collaborative approach to learning that encourages the sharing of best practice to enhance the education and outcomes of all the children in our Trust.

Corsham Primary School would like to recruit an enthusiastic learning tutor with vision and creativity, who enjoys working within a dynamic and committed staff.  We believe that children only get one chance to experience childhood, and that they have an absolute right to the highest quality of education.

The tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • ·       Covering classes across both sites for PPA release time, staff sickness absence and CPD
  • ·       To communicate with teachers with regard to planning and preparation ahead of covering each class and providing feedback for lessons taught.
  • ·       Keep accurate registers of attendance when covering classes.
  • ·       To participate in meetings which relate to the curriculum, administration, organisation and pastoral arrangements of the school (where appropriate).

What we offer:

·        A happy school community, underpinned by a caring and supportive staff team

·        Engaging children, eager to learn and thrive

·        Excellent training and development opportunities, as part of Pickwick Academy Trust

·        A wide range of staff benefits (please refer to the attached Applicant Information pack)
