About this Role

Alderman Jacobs is a vibrant and popular three form entry school with its own pre-school located in the market town of Whittlesey, just 6 miles from Peterborough.  The school was rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted (March 2023) with inspectors reporting that ‘Alderman Jacobs is a welcoming and happy place where pupils enjoy their learning. All aspects of school life reflect the school’s values of energy for life, learning and the environment’. The school joined the Soke Education Trust in September 2023 and works collaboratively with Gunthorpe, John Clare, Northborough, Werrington and Wittering Primary Schools supported by an experienced and collaborative central team.

·       -Will offer support and challenge to staff

·       -Will enjoy developing a curriculum which inspires children to learn and engages them in all aspects of school life

·       -An unwavering commitment to inclusion and securing provision which meets the needs of the most vulnerable pupils

·       -A firm commitment to school improvement through a collaborative approach, including working with other schools in Soke Education Trust.

·       -Is a team player, reflective, approachable and kind.

·       In return we can offer you:

·       -A highly supportive, professional working environment.

·       -Children who are enthusiastic, energetic and eager to learn

·       -High quality training and CPD (the school is currently part of a professional learning community research project with Anglia Ruskin University)

·       -An induction programme that will support you every step of the way.

·       -An active Staff Wellbeing Group  and full access to an Employee Assistance Programme.

·       -A supportive Trust, focused upon ensuring all children and staff strive, explore and transform to be their best.

·       -A large, heated outdoor swimming pool which can be used before and after school by staff in the summer months!
