About this Role

Head of School

Contract type: Full-Time

Contract term: Permanent

Full time Salary: Leadership 22-26

Job start: September 2024

Location: Cedars Upper School

At Cedars, we have a strong reputation as a popular and high-performing school. Our achievements were further highlighted by the excellent set of results our students attained in both GCSE and A-Level examinations in summer 2022. Building on these successes, we are determined to reach new heights and aspire for an outstanding status. A large number of our sixth form students move onto Russell group Universities where they continue to flourish.

As Head of School, you will work closely under the direction of the Executive Headteacher and have overall responsibility for ensuring the achievement of the highest possible personal and educational standards for all students in the school. You will play a vital role in maintaining and developing an atmosphere where all students and adults are valued, fostering personal endeavour and responsibility while upholding the school’s high expectations and values.

Come and be a part of our extraordinary team at Cedars Upper School, where positivity, growth, and achievement flourish.

Please note that the application process will remain open until we receive a sufficient number of applications, but the final closing date is 9am Monday 13th May 2024. Interviews will be conducted on Thursday 16th May 2024.

If you wish to discuss the post further, please contact Nicola McGiff, PA to Headteacher, for an informal discussion or to arrange a tour nmcgiff@cedarsupper.co.uk.

As a trust committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, we expect all staff members to share this commitment. Consequently, applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

CVs will not be accepted for any posts based in the school.
