  • Free access to schools well-being service.
  • A friendly and supportive team and positive working environment.
  • The support of a highly professional and committed staff team and the opportunity to expand your professional networks beyond the Trust through our external partnerships.
  • High levels of mentoring and support for early career teachers.

  • Well behaved children who love learning.
  • The opportunity to develop your career within an expanding multi academy trust with a track record of excellent student attainment and achievement.

  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection methods and responsibilities.
  • Passionate about learning, teaching and assessment.
  • Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) to a variety of audiences including pupils, staff, colleagues and parents.
  • Effective behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to create a positive, supportive and effective learning environment.

Additional Information:

  • The job description is a guide to the duties the post holder will be expected to undertake. It’s not intended to be exhaustive or exclusive and will be subject to change as working requirements dictate and to meet the organisational requirements of the school and the Trust.
  • All staff are required to participate in training and other learning activities and in performance management and development as required by the Trust’s policies and practices.

What is special about Spiral?

We believe that we can offer to all our stakeholders something distinctive. Key features of our Trust include:

  • Creativity / Innovation; thinking beyond “the box”.
  • Experienced and nationally recognised staff, especially at the senior level.
  • Celebrating and maintaining individual school identities.
  • Operating the management principle of “earned autonomy”.
  • Providing excellent support when, where and how it is needed.
  • Building varied Learning Communities (everywhere, not just in the classroom).
  • Minimising paperwork that adds little value provided it is not needed for compliance purposes.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding children and young people. All post holders are subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

We reserve the right to appoint a candidate before the closing date. We advise applicants to submit their applications as early as possible.
