Nansen Primary School is looking to appoint a receptionist to join our admin team. The school is part of Leigh Trust.

We are looking for an employee with admin experience, preferably within a school admin team.

Main requirements / responsibilities of the role:

  • ·         Reception and admin duties
  • ·         Excellent verbal and written English skills (these will be tested at interview)
  • ·         A positive attitude and effective communication skills
  • ·         The ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
  • ·         A commitment to ensuring confidentiality
  • ·         Ability to prioritise, multi task and work as part of a team
  • ·         Data entry, letter writing and filing
  • ·         Providing reception and switchboard support to the school
  • ·        Providing clerical support to the school’s administrative function
  • ·         Receiving, signing in and dealing with or directing pupils, parents and other school visitors as appropriate
  • ·         Taking telephone calls and delivering messages as appropriate
  • ·         Dealing with pupils who are late, recording on MIS and relaying information to Attendance Officer
  • ·         Receiving and sorting incoming mail for delivery to appropriate staff.
  • ·         Occasional routine word processing, as and when required
