About this Role

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic HLTA to be part of our excellent team. You must share our passion for providing children with stimulating and exciting learning opportunities, which help them to achieve their full learning potential.  The role will include supporting all classes and providing cover for PPA, teacher absence and working as an additional teaching colleague when required.

We are a family of primary, secondary and special schools based across Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. Here at The Active Learning Trust we are hugely proud of our dedicated team of teaching and support staff, who are committed to improving outcomes for our children and young people. We are also proud of our record of retaining and developing our staff. All of our schools have a focus on professional development and offer clear pathways to leadership for those who wish to pursue them. Our staff also benefit from being part of our network of diverse schools and we regularly bring together colleagues from different schools to share best practice and celebrate achievements. To find out more about The Active Learning Trust please visit www.activelearningtrust.org.

The staff at Chesterton, the Active Learning Trust and Governors are dedicated to the growth and development of the school; together with the parents and local community, we work to promote high standards of achievement and behaviour. After our most recent Ofsted visit in January 2020, we continue to be a “Good” school and look forward to welcoming a new member of staff to our team to help the school on its continuing journey.

 We are seeking someone who:

Is an enthusiastic and driven practitioner who is able to support and lead lessons across the school

Can play a key role in the support of children’s learning

Has high expectations in all areas of children's learning and behaviour

Can lead and support innovation and originality in creating stimulating learning opportunities

Can work effectively with parents to provide the very best support for all of our children

Is able to encourage the children to develop a lifelong passion for learning

Has the patience and perseverance to support behavioural needs

. Active Learning Trust reserves the right to interview and appoint prior to the advert closing date.  With this in mind, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

Chesterton Primary School and the Active Learning Trust are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people. We expect all staff to actively share this commitment. All appointments will be subject to the taking of satisfactory references and enhanced criminal record clearance in line with the need to create and maintain a safe culture in our recruitment.
