Batley Multi Academy Trust’s sole purpose is to provide a great education for Primary and Secondary learners throughout a local family of schools. Batley Multi Academy Trust currently comprises Batley Girls’ High School, Upper Batley High School, Batley Grammar School, Healey Junior, Infant and Nursery School, Field Lane Junior, Infant and Nursery School and Manorfield Infant and Nursery School. We provide high quality education for all young people. This collaboration enables us to share expertise, knowledge and best practice to ensure academic and pastoral excellence throughout all of our schools, with all schools embracing the same overall ethos and values, whilst maintaining their own unique characters.
Upper Batley High School was identified as a Beacon School in the Northern Challenge report due to the excellent progress our disadvantaged learners make. We also hold the Gold Award for Mental Health & Wellbeing, the PSHCE Charter Mark, the Careers Quality Standard and we are a lead school within West Yorkshire. We are one of only a few schools in the UK to achieve 100% in all Gatsby benchmarks. Ofsted identified our careers programme as a “real strength of the school” and we are in the top 20% of all schools nationally.

We are seeking to appoint an innovative and enthusiastic Head of Mathematics to lead our successful, supportive and hardworking department. If you are a highly effective classroom teacher with excellent leadership and communication skills and are keen to make a difference to the learning and aspirations of our students, then we would welcome your application.
The successful candidate will:
Lead the Mathematics Department to become an outstanding department with excellent outcomes.
Ensure all learners are high achievers in Mathematics.
Plan, develop, monitor and evaluate all Mathematics course.
