About this Role

Glen Park Primary is a very successful school, with a strong reputation in the local area. Our aim is simple; to ensure the best possible outcomes in terms of progress and attainment for every pupil, by providing the highest quality teaching and learning possible. We are extremely fortunate to have highly committed and skilled staff who share the common aim of wanting to give every child the best possible start in life. Not only do we strive to achieve the highest level in literacy, numeracy and all-round education, but we also work hard to ensure children are safe, happy and contribute to our excellent standards of behaviour. As a result, following an Ofsted inspection carried out in February 2023, the school was judged to be providing outstanding provision in all areas.

We are looking to appoint a talented and creative 0.6 teacher to join our supportive and highly successful team. If you have the commitment to work in a school that is continually striving to ensure the highest possible standards of pupil achievement, personal development and well-being, your application would be very welcome.

We can offer you in return:

  • a forward thinking, well-resourced school with a strong sense of community
  • an excellent working environment with the chance to work alongside friendly and supportive colleagues who are committed to ensuring the very best for our children
  • teaching staff that put innovative learning and the quality of children’s experiences, at the heart of the curriculum
  • a curriculum that is authentic and challenging and provides memorable experiences for our pupils.
  • the opportunity to work with pupils who love to learn, are highly motivated and demonstrate excellent attitudes towards their learning

Visits to the school are highly encouraged, please contact the school office on 01752 339073 or via glen.park.primary.school@plymouth.gov.uk  to arrange a visit and the opportunity to meet our team.

Glen Park Primary is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
