About this Role

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coach to work in Primary schools within the Castle Point and Rochford borough and this exciting position offers you the opportunity to work with aspiring young sports people delivering specialist coaching in PE, lunch time, breakfast and after school clubs

Applicants must have a passion for the subject with specialist experience in a specific sport and may already have experience in delivering PE within primary school settings.

The successful Sports Coach will have high expectations of behaviour and attainment and will have the ability to build positive relationships with others.  In return we fully support our coaches and provide them with feedback, guidance and mentoring to ensure they are delivering the best lessons possible whilst enjoying their role.

This role is due to start immediately and you will be employed on a casual contract, enjoying the benefits of flexible working.  Our Sports Coaches work during term time plus there are also opportunities to take part in our popular Holiday Camps around the borough.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications, but you must hold at minimum a Level 2 NGB coaching qualification.  A full clean driving licence is essential and you will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check and all statutory training applicable to the role.

Please refer to the job description for full details of the role.  For further information or an informal chat, please contact Steve Bish or Tracy Selby via email on CPRSSP@thedeanes.essex.sch.uk.

The Deanes and the Deanes Sports Centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects its entire staff to share this commitment. All postholders working in our schools will be considered to work in Regulated Activity and will be required to have an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS). In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance all shortlisted candidates may be subject to online searches that may include social media.
