About our school

Here at Rose Hill we truly believe in putting the children first and they are at the heart of everything we do.  Our school is friendly and supportive and our children are confident, happy and eager to learn. We strive to ensure that every member of our school community is able to achieve their best and to promote a love of learning that we hope will stay with our children  long after they have left us. We greatly value our staff and support them with weekly high quality professional development. Our Trust is passionate and committed to continuous professional development and we frequently offer a range of training opportunities across the schools within the Trust.

In order for our school to improve, we believe in supporting colleagues to be the best they can. You will need to be able to develop strong relationships built on trust and to do this you will already have good interpersonal skills.  You will also be committed to your own professional development, be self-aware and understand your responsibilities within the team.

Visitors comment on the warm atmosphere in the school. Our children are friendly, enthusiastic and welcoming. They strive to do their best and enjoy attending school. We offer candidates the opportunity to join our supportive and motivated team of staff and governors with excellent opportunities for professional development.

We invite you to take an opportunity to come and work at this vibrant school and contribute to making it even better!

River Learning Trust

Education has the power to change lives, communities and society for the better. At RLT we believe that we can achieve more for our pupils, trainees, staff and communities by working together rather than alone. Schools in RLT are united by a common belief in the benefits of working together, and by our commitment to shared principles.

OUR VISION is for our schools and SCITT to improve rapidly, continuously and sustainably: to be better faster together.

OUR ‘WHY?’ is that children and young people ‘only get one go’ in school and therefore as part of RLT we aim to ensure the best possible ‘go’ for our pupils.

OUR ‘HOW?’ is through the highest support and challenge for our schools and each other, underpinned by our principles.

Our employees benefit from a wide variety of support including extensive  continuing professional learning and development opportunities, wellbeing and staff networks and access to Defined Benefit Pension Schemes (TPS and LGPS) for all staff. For more information on what it is like to work for the Trust, and the benefits you could access, please see our “Working in RLT” guide.
