About this Role

SENDAT (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Academies Trust) is  a Multi-Academy Trust  focused on specialist provision in the eastern region. SENDAT supports a range of needs including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

SENDAT is a centralised trust and, as a result, is able to offer a variety of support and guidance to the successful candidate. From September 2024, SENDAT is expecting to merge with Eastern Education Group (EEG) which will further provide staff and students with access to greater resources and support.

Empowering Futures is a new Free School for Alternative Provision for students aged 14-19. Empowering Futures will offer 90 places when full, and is due to open in 2026. The exact location of the academy is yet to be confirmed, but will be in or around Bury St Edmunds.
