SALARY: MAIN/UPPER PAY RANGE FOR TEACHERS WITH SEN1 ALLOWANCE  (SEN2 allowance for those with SEND qualification or significant experience)

LOCATION:  Mulberry Unit, Mendlesham Primary School   IP14 5RT

CONTRACT TYPE:  MATERNITY COVER

WORKING ARRANGEMENTS:  FULL TIME


 We now seeking a dynamic and a inspirational teacher to take joint responsibility for a KS2, Reception /Early Years groups and deliver outstanding SEND teaching across the curriculum. Reception/Early Tears teaching experience and curriculum knowledge would be advantageous.  We are now growing the provision to two KS2 provision at Mulberry Mendlesham and need an additional teacher. The current job share is moving on to explore other opportunities.

Mulberry, a joint project between SENDAT and John Milton Academy Trust for two  pieces of provision which opened September 2021

KS2 group – linked to Mendlesham Primary School     

KS3/4 group – linked to Stowupland High School

You will work as part of a close-knit and supportive SENDAT team to provide a safe and secure educational and caring environment for students with moderate learning difficulties. You will help ensure that they receive specialist teaching and support tailored which meets their individual needs and facilitates their academic progress and personal development, by supporting students in the Mulberry class and, if required, in their lessons in the host school

We welcome applications from ECTs who wish to develop their career and have the potential, with support to quickly develop into an outstanding teacher in an environment where students have a range of complex moderate learning needs.

SENDAT has a strong ethos for developing core literacy and numeracy whilst also developing the ‘whole child’, promoting self-esteem, confidence and social skills. We offer professional training and development to enhance knowledge and understanding of SEND, with professional mentoring and small teaching groups.
