We are a consistently high performing, oversubscribed, caring, supportive and inclusive comprehensive school. Our school is at the very heart of our community, not only providing wonderful learning experiences for our students but also a fantastic working environment for all our staff. Our buildings also provide wonderful learning and leisure opportunities for our wider community. We pride ourselves on the amazing range of activities and support that we provide for all of our students.
We are one of very few schools that is named after someone who lived in our Community. Sam Peel was a highly successful Alderman (Councillor), who was known for the work he did for the community and education across the county. Sam (pictured below) was instrumental in our school being built. The opening of the school, in 1963, was his last public appearance.
