About Aloeric Primary School
Aloeric is on a large site in the heart of Melksham in Wiltshire. The school was built in 1972 and was named after Aloeric, a Norman Knight, who was granted the villages of Melksham and Poulshot by William the Conqueror. Our school has grown to become one of the largest primary schools in Wiltshire and has led to the addition of two teaching blocks for junior-aged pupils. In 2017 the school converted to academy status and was one of the four founding schools of Pickwick Academy Trust. Aloeric enjoys strong links with the other schools in the Trust and schools in the Melksham area.
We are a very happy team at Aloeric, with strong relationships between staff and pupils and between the school and local community. We believe in putting the children at the heart of what we do and want to develop all aspects of every child as they travel through the school.
There is a fantastic welcoming atmosphere at Aloeric and all staff are fortunate to be working with wonderful children who inspire them to do more and become more. Our school motto is 'Making a Difference .... Every Day'. As Head of School, Rebecca Clifton's priorities are to raise standards for all and identify and nurture the potential of all pupils and staff in Aloeric and to support others across the Trust.
Our aim is to ensure all our children leave Aloeric with lasting memories, good friendships and equipped with the essential skills to be successful as they move on. We want all of the children to grow into happy, proud and responsible citizens, who make a positive impact on the world and enhance the lives of those around them. It is our vision at Aloeric to provide all of our children with a safe and nurturing environment in which to learn and flourish.
Aloeric is at the heart of Melksham's community and our children are at the heart of everything we do.
