About Denbigh High School
Denbigh is a thriving and happy learning community where expectations and standards are very high. Driven by our core value statement, ‘high achievement for all is our shared responsibility’, we are completely committed to inspiring and supporting our students so that they seek excellence in all aspects of school life – regardless of their ability or background.
We are committed to working with parents and carers to ensure that all are active participants in their child’s learning and development. We recognise and greatly value these partnerships, including those within the wider community - we truly achieve more together than in isolation.
Perhaps more than ever before, we are acutely aware that we play a key role in preparing our young people for their place as global citizens. To craft their position on the world stage, beyond personal endeavour we concentrate with purpose on the development of interpersonal skills and competencies; such as oracy, team work, resilience and leadership. - Denbigh High School is Located in Luton, Bedfordshire.
- Approximately 1200 pupils between the ages of 11 and 16.
- Value-added score for progress from Key Stages 2 to 4 is the second highest in the country.
- Recieved TES ‘Secondary School of the Year Award’ 2009.
- Became an academy in 2010 as well as becoming a strategic partner of the Chiltern Teaching School Alliance, with Challney High School for Boys.
- In 2013 became part of The Chiltern Learning Trust which is a multi-academy trust comprising of Denbigh High School, Challney High School for Boys, Challney High School for Girls, Putteridge High School, Chiltern Academy (opening September 2018), Marston Vale Middle School and Dallow Primary School.
