About Edith Cavell Primary School

Edith Cavell Primary School is a successful, thriving lower school close to the centre of Bedford.

Our diverse school community all share our ethos of being ‘Ambitious, Achieving and Nurturing’ and through our inclusive, friendly and hardworking attitude achieve well. Children demonstrate respect, values and enjoyment through their behaviour, motivation and attitudes to learning.

Our staff team all work hard and are dedicated to meeting the individual needs of each and every child in the school. They work in teams to ensure that teaching is of the highest quality, the curriculum is stimulating and children are motivated to develop a passion for learning, a respect for themselves, others and the world around them.

Traditional values underpin all aspects of school life and are intrinsically demonstrated by all the staff, governors and pupils.

Our successful OFSTED in October 2014 highlighted
‘Pupils get on well together in this culturally diverse school.’
