About Friars Academy
Friars Academy is a part of the Better Together Learning Trust; we are an Outstanding Special School located in the very centre of Wellingborough in Northamptonshire. Our ethos of ‘Every Child, Every Chance Every Day’ runs through the very heart of our school and extended community. We strive to improve the life chances of our students, to prepare them for a life beyond education and to prepare them for the changes society has in store in the future!
We have a close team of energised and passionate staff who work together to create an environment and develop a Life Skills curriculum that engages our young people, allowing them to make progress and be ready for their journey into the world of work and independence.
We are always searching for the right human beings who are prepared work as part of a team, be passionate about educating children and having fun whilst they do it through our Academy values of Integrity, Honesty, Respect, Resilience and Kindness.
We run an innovative staff CPD programme that balances life and career development and strengthens pedagogical knowledge.
