Located in the city of Luton, Bedfordshire, Icknield High School is a secondary academy, with a specialist status in art. Although the school has no sixth form, it has around 1450 pupils aged 11-16 in a co-educational setting, making it considerably larger than the average school of its type. This is supported by the positive comments received, particularly the views expressed in Ofsted’s online questionnaire to parents. Parents praise the way the school knows its pupils. One parent wrote, ‘They are not faces among the crowd, but individuals who are listened to.’”
