Nunney First School is a single form entry school, situated in an expanding village, located to the north of the Mendip Hills serving the local community and surrounding areas.  We are part of The Partnership Trust and share the same values and ethos.  Within this, Nunney First School operates independently and focuses teaching and learning, resources and management to meet the specific needs of four to nine year olds.  

Nunney First School creates a safe, respectful and nurturing environment, which maximises each child’s sense of wellbeing and acquisition of skills for life and learning. It is our vision that all children at Nunney First School are resilient, confident and enjoy school. They have a love for learning, work hard and progress and achieve well, both in and out of the classroom. The school celebrates achievement in all areas and encourages children to persevere when faced with challenges. We prepare children for a future full of opportunities by building confidence, communication skills and the ability to problem solve.  The natural environment inspires much of our work, helping children to understand relationships and find their own unique place in our ever changing world.  Parent partnership is extremely important to us and we strive to ensure that we provide excellent communication with families and carers at all times.  

We are a committed, friendly and supportive staff team aiming for excellence for all. Our leadership team has a wealth of experience and a drive to promote professional development. We have supportive and committed governors and delightful, kind and friendly children who are eager to learn.
