Ousedale School is a mixed 11-18 comprehensive school situated on two campuses in attractive grounds in Newport Pagnell and Olney, to the north of Milton Keynes. We serve a partially rural catchment area. Currently there are approximately 2000 students on roll including a Sixth Form of 360.
Newport Pagnell Campus accommodates 1500 11-18 students and Olney Campus 600 11-16 students. Sixth Form courses for students from both campuses are based at Newport Pagnell.
The Newport Pagnell campus is housed in separate buildings. The original site dates back to 1963, however, considerable development has taken place in recent years. Some blocks are new and others have been extensively refurbished. Further refurbishment will take place over the next three years. The 6th form are housed in a separate, purpose built, centre with IT facilities and a dining room/gallery.
The specialist accommodation includes a Sports Hall, a gymnasium and 3 squash courts together with extensive playing fields, flood lit tennis courts and a full-size synthetic pitch. There are 11 well-equipped Science laboratories, 6 Design Technology rooms and 2 Food Technology rooms. We have a suite of excellently resourced Business Studies rooms and computer rooms. There are 2 Music rooms with 3 practice rooms, a recording studio, 4 Art and 2 Drama studios. There are two dining rooms and the campus has well kept grounds. The state of the art Eco centre and garden has provided an excellent facility for Science teaching. All classrooms are well resourced and equipped with IT facilities.
The Olney campus was completed in Easter 2007. It consists of 3 storeys set into a sloping rural landscape with extensive views over Olney and the Ouse Valley. The new campus provides the most up-to-date environment and facilities for its staff and students, having been designed to the latest specifications. In terms of specialist areas, the campus has a large Sports Hall, 2 all-weather games areas and adjoining playing fields for a good range of outdoor sports. There are 5 Science laboratories, 4 Design Technology rooms, and 2 computer suites as well as Art, Music (including a recording studio) and Drama studios.
