Princes Risborough Primary School is proud to be part of the Great Learners Trust. The Great Learners Trust (GLT) was established in 2014 in Buckinghamshire with the aim of promoting exceptional learning. We are now a dynamic group of 9 primary schools, working generously in collaboration to provide the best possible education for our children. Trust schools are diverse and unique; this individuality is underpinned by common principles, a shared ambition and a commitment to working closely together. Belonging to the Trust enables schools to focus on the essential work of delivering excellent teaching and learning. The Trust provides high quality school improvement expertise and frameworks for school leaders and governors, including strategic planning, financial and estates management, operations, recruitment and policy development. 

What is Special About Our School?

At our school, in the heart of Princes Risborough, we put children at the centre of all that we do. You will find a caring, hardworking, optimistic and mutually supportive staff. We have a welcoming family atmosphere with pupils who are happy and are proud to be at our school. We have an ‘open door’ policy and welcome engagement with our families, some of whom grew up in the local area and were themselves pupils at the school. We have a 12 place Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) for children with ASD. The Princes Risborough Preschool became part of the school in 2018 and provides an exceptional start to children’s school life. Our staff build lessons on developing thinking skills, metacognition and growth mindset which accelerate children’s learning. We are embracing curriculum innovation, building on the WOW experiences which engage children’s interest. We have an active School Council and create opportunities for children to take responsibility and show leadership.

Our vision is to be a continually improving school in which children are safe, supported and successful.  We will equip all pupils to be self-motivated, inquisitive, resilient and ambitious for their own futures.
