Head Teacher’s Welcome
We are a friendly, nurturing, inclusive and successful school with
high expectations for all of our pupils.
We are a Church of England voluntary controlled school, which
means we have a close partnership with our local village church and the St
Albans Diocese. We are proud of our church foundation and it is this which
defines our ethos and makes our school distinctive.
The cornerstone of all of our work is our 'Christian Values'
based education, which is embraced by the whole school community. These values
are our guiding principles. They help us to work together to create a
successful and happy school. They encourage every child to develop into a
caring, responsible, hardworking and positive person capable of
fulfilling their God-given potential.
It is a pleasure to lead a team of dedicated, highly skilled
teachers and support staff who work in partnership with our hard working
governors, volunteers and our local community to offer all of our pupils a
well-balanced, challenging and enriching education within a supportive and
loving Christian context. The team is committed to children’s well-being,
achieving high standards and providing the very best opportunities for all in
our care.
