Graded 'Good' in our September 2023 Ofsted inspection, St Matthew's Primary School is a popular, well-regarded, happy, energetic, confident and thriving school community offering an all-round education for children age 4-11 years.
Our school is situated in High Town, a historic and culturally diverse area of Luton, very close to the town centre and within walking distance of Luton's mainline train station.
St Matthew's Primary School is one of the largest primary schools in Luton, with four classes in each year group. and five in some.
The school community totals close to 900 pupils and approximately 150 staff. Whilst this may seem big, the school is always calm, personal, nurturing and happy. We are a big school with small community habits and pride ourselves on everyone's well-being, being a cornerstone of our ethos. The sense of being in an ambitious, supportive family is often commented on by children, parents and staff alike.
