About Tudor Grange Academy Redditch
A very warm welcome to Tudor Grange Academy Redditch. We are a mixed comprehensive 11-18 secondary school with a capacity to serve 1100 students, including a Sixth Form of 250 students.
TGAR opened in April 2014; the Academy is sponsored by its sister school, Tudor Grange Academy Solihull and the trust now consists of six schools, two primary schools and four secondary schools. The former Principal of Tudor Grange Academy Worcester, Mrs. C Maclean, has now become the Executive Principal for the Trust overseeing all schools.
It is my privilege to take on the role of Principal at Tudor Grange Academy Redditch and it is my firm belief that every student deserves an outstanding education and should be at the centre of everything we do. Our core purpose is to raise their aspirations and ensure that all our students have the best educational experience possible. As such, the Academy has high expectations of behaviour and standards, placing great emphasis on pastoral care and very close links with parents. Our small community allows students to thrive, allowing for successful learning and a place where students feel safe, confident, respected and valued.
We pride ourselves on our community and our college system allows for all students to feel part of a smaller community within the Academy. We aim to instil in every student the behaviour, aptitude and ability to meet the demands of a rapidly changing world. Our college systems allows students to not only actively work and support their school community but to support the wider community with fundraising activities every half term.
We are committed to the continuous improvement of our provision and firmly believe in our community working together. As part of this commitment, we run weekly drop in sessions for parents with college leaders and a weekly ‘Meet the Principal’ session every Thursday.
Our school is staffed by a team of fantastic teachers and support staff, who are committed to learning and ensuring the very best opportunities for our students.
