Maiden Erlegh Trust is a community of schools working together to provide exceptional education and opportunity for every child and young person. We include nine schools across primary, secondary, special, and alternative provision settings, serving diverse communities in Berkshire and Oxfordshire. In January 2026, our family will grow further as John Rankin Infant and Junior Schools join us, bringing our community to around 800 colleagues and 5,000 students.
Our Trust is ambitious for young people. We share strong ideas, expertise, and programmes that raise standards for all and aim to ensure that every young person leaves equipped to thrive in life. The diversity of our settings is one of our greatest strengths, helping us develop deep expertise across curriculum, inclusion, and pastoral care.
We Aim High, Be Inclusive, and Work Together. These values guide our approach to school improvement and shape how we learn from one another. Through the Maiden Erlegh Institute, our sector-leading professional development programme supports every stage of a career in education — from teacher training to leadership development and specialist CPD for everyone in our team from classroom to support and early career to senior leadership. Many of our colleagues progress through different roles and settings within our Trust, supported by mentoring, collaboration, and our annual MET Staff Conference, a unique day when all colleagues come together to learn, share, and connect.
We are committed to sustainable improvement and inclusion across every school. Our Educational Alignment and Operational Excellence programmes focus on improving outcomes for all, ensuring that all MET schools, regardless of size or context, can deliver the same high aspirations, opportunities, and experiences.
Joining our Trust means becoming part of a diverse, expert, and supportive professional community where ambition for young people drives everything we do.
