Milton Keynes Education Trust

About Milton Keynes Education Trust

Milton Keynes Education Trust (MKET) was the first multi-academy trust established in Milton Keynes (2011). Our aim is to improve education provision by creating and developing a mutually beneficial partnership between local schools.

We are committed to securing social justice through high quality education that promotes inclusion and embraces diversity. The Trust enhances and enriches the lives of children and young people by enabling them to make the most of outstanding learning opportunities within and beyond the curriculum; instilling an appreciation that there are no limits to what they can achieve and developing the attributes needed to successfully shape and respond to the future.

In this way we bring out the very best in our children and young people.

Milton Keynes is a rapidly growing city and we have ambitions to grow too. Our vision is that MKET builds on its achievements to become the leading educational trust in Milton Keynes.  Over 3500 children and young people are educated in the Trust’s schools.

There are currently four schools in the Trust:

Kents Hill School and Nursery: An infant school with nursery provision;

Heronsgate School: a junior school;

New Chapter Primary School: a primary school and

Walton High: a secondary school.

We have a wide range of employee benefits including:

About Milton Keynes

Milton Keynes is a young city, equally distant from London, Birmingham, Oxford, Cambridge and Leicester. It is 40 minutes from London, 30 minutes from London Luton Airport, and a stop on the West Coast Mainline.  The city has 15 lakes, 11 miles of canals, 6000 acres of parkland and more than 180 miles of bridleways, footpaths and cycle tracks.

 Home to Bletchley Park and Woburn Safari Park, Milton Keynes hosts a wealth of cultural organisations and venues, including world-class contemporary art galleries, museums, theatres, art centres and heritage sites. Day visitors to Milton Keynes will love the excellent shopping facilities, with over 300 shops, including one of the longest indoor shopping centres in Europe at thecentre:mk.  Milton Keynes has also become an extreme sports hotspot. You can water-ski, wakeboard and more on Willen Lake, or head to Xscape for the UK's longest indoor real-snow ski and boarding slope. The city also boasts some of the best indoor climbing facilities in the south, along with bowling, ice skating and indoor body flying.
