Who are Pioneer Learning Trust
The Pioneer Trust is a small but growing Trust of collaborative schools in Luton. The Trust currently consists of 3 larger than average primary schools – Chantry Primary Academy, Southfield Primary School and Whitefield Primary Academy. We have approximately 1500 pupils in the Trust taught and supported by around 300 staff. We plan to grow to 7 schools with 3000+ pupils in the next 2-3 years. We welcome interest from academies or maintained schools interested in joining a Trust focused on partnership and collaboration in the pursuit of excellence and equity for all pupils.
Why work for us?
We know that people don’t go into teaching “for the holidays.” People go into school based roles for the rewarding nature of the job – in short they want to make a difference; to help children to see bright futures for themselves. Our schools are based in areas of high deprivation and as a result, our staff teams are focused on closing the gap between the most disadvantaged pupils and all pupils nationally, ensuring that our pupils achieve the best possible outcomes. Teamwork and collaboration is a particular feature of our Trust with staff working across schools to support each other, offering excellent career progression opportunities.
With special provision for pupils with visual impairment (VI )in Chantry, alongside specialist support and provision for children with social, emotional and mental health issues (SEMH) in both Chantry and Whitefield, our Trust is well placed to make a significant difference to the lives of some of the most disadvantaged pupils in Luton. The specialist teams in these provisions offer training and support to colleagues in all schools.
