About Preston Hedges Trust

Award winning Preston Hedges Trust has the unique purpose of delivering fun, creativity and achievement across all 5 schools. The fun element of our approach creates happy confident learners while creativity is nurtured by our bespoke and exceptional curriculum.  Our focus on achievement enables us to pursue the very highest outcomes for our children. This approach is delivered by ambitious and energetic teaching staff, focused on delivering exceptional educational outcomes for every child.   We are proven and unrelenting in our pursuit of achieving real and lasting improvement at all our schools – whether they are newly built, already established as outstanding, or have previously underachieved.

Our Vision
Our vision is to create fun working and learning environments to encourage happy and confident learners. We take great pride in our creative curriculum, with teachers and leaders delivering first class education experiences in creative and inspiring places and spaces. We have a relentless energy and drive towards achievement allowing us to consistently deliver the highest educational outcomes for our children.   It is these three principles – Fun, Creativity and Achievement – which are central to everything we do to provide exceptional educational experiences for all our children.

Our Purpose
We want every child to have an outstanding education and the best possible start in life.  This is achieved by engaging each of them in the Trust’s ethos of Fun, Creativity and Achievement:

FUN –Creating happy confident learners.
CREATIVITY
– Providing exceptional curriculum experiences that sparks curiosity, imagination and encourages life-long learning.
ACHIEVEMENT
Fulfilling every child’s potential with the highest academic outcomes and preparing them as confident, tolerant and compassionate citizens in a global environment.

Award Winning
In 2023, we collected two prestigious national education awards – including being named the country’s best Academy Trust – recognising our exceptional work in outstanding, good, new and improving schools. We were awarded Best Small Trust and the blue ribband Best Multi Academy Trust awards at the Multi Academy Trust Association Awards in London in March 2023.

As the only Trust from the Midlands area to be shortlisted as finalists, we were naturally delighted to achieve this recognition, both for our schools and for the wider school communities. This marker of success is testament to the considerable energy and commitment of our staff, pupils and families, and the outcomes our brilliant children are achieving.
