CMAT’s mission is to recruit and retain high quality candidates into teaching to meet the needs of our schools.
CMAT offers a range of routes into teacher training to suit different people’s needs and circumstances. Our diverse alliance of schools within Peterborough and Cambridgeshire has been involved in delivering high quality teacher-training for decades, and is now in the ideal position to offer a wide variety of School Direct routes into teaching from September 2014.
We offer a range of teacher training courses through our local SCITT, both employment based School Direct (salaried) and a new School Direct non-salaried route to gain QTS. For the first time, we will offer a primary non-salaried QTS only course from September 2014, alongside our secondary provision. We also have strong relationships with a range of HEI providers including the Faculty of Education, Cambridge, allowing us to offer School Direct non-salaried PGCE courses at both Primary and Secondary level.
