“Being the best version of Sprowston that we can be”
Sprowston Community Academy, part of the Broad Horizons Education Trust, is looking to appoint a creative and innovative musician who can inspire and motivate children to engage in music and performance.
This role includes 4 hours of teaching to Key Stage 3, making use of already existing schemes of work and lesson plans which are strong and accessible to music specialists. The successful candidate would be well supported by the Curriculum Leader for Music.
In addition, we would value a contribution to an element of extra-curricular provision in music on the day/days that you are in. This could relate to a particular area of interest and specialism.
This job would be suitable for someone with qualified teacher status but we are also willing to consider applicants who do not have QTS and who can offer the hours as an instructor. This opportunity may suit someone who is considering a career in music teaching and who is still studying. Equally we are open to considering peripatetic music teachers or local musicians who are able to demonstrate the appropriate skills and aptitudes.
